How to master in Reasoning Ability for IBPS PO EXAM?

IBPS conducts IBPS PO Exam every year which comprises of reasoning ability, numerical ability and English section in preliminary examination. Reasoning Section is one such section which candidates find it innovative as it is not the part of curriculum in the school syllabus, rest of the subjects involves the syllabus of higher secondary level. REASONING

It is the action of thinking logically and systematically which helps us in solving the given quiz or puzzle. It is the section which analyzes the attitude and the logical capacity of the candidate. 4.      There are some topics which need formulas and tables as they are based on mathematics calculations. Therefore, it is advisable to learn and remember Formulas and Tables by heart. It will help you in solving questions quickly and accurately.  

5.      Master short tricks to solve the questions in less time as it is time bound section. From last year, IBPS has introduced sectional timings which is challenging, if you are not well-versed with short tricks.

6.      Read the questions carefully and understand well before answering because reasoning questions are tricky and also quiz based.

7.      Do not experiment any trick for the first time, practice at least on 50 questions and then use it on any of your mock tests or practice tests. In case you use it without understanding you will confuse yourself.

8.      Avoid wild guesses or else you will lose marks as IBPS follows negative marking.

9.      While solving mock tests try to give proper time to all the questions rather than wasting your time on any one of the problems. It is the best practice to score high in reasoning section.

10.    Practice is the key to success in reasoning section, the more you practice, more confident you will be in solving questions on the exam day.  Most of the questions are asked from Critical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, and Reasoning Data Sufficiency, so do take more practice test on these topics. It will improve your reasoning skills and will enhance your speed in solving the questions.

11.    Make notes of the important topics of reasoning section to revise them every day and write down the important formulas on a paper and hang it on your study table for the revision.

12.    Develop the aptitude for Direction (East, West, North, and South), it helps in solving direction based questions which is an important topic of reasoning.

13.    Do become familiar with the proper sequence and number position of alphabets from A to Z to solve sequence based questions.

14.    Take one full length mock test, after covering the entire syllabus and analyze our performance and then try to improve it further for better results in the exam.
